Konami Pre-E3 Roundup
Konami – The Pre-E3 2012 press conference, trailers, and news.

Konami held it’s pre-E3 press conference on May 31st, which can be watched here.
A few of the highlights:
Discussion of the new development studio in the bay area for facebook/social network and mobile platforms. The conference showed pictures of their office and discussed a couple of the games that they’re currently working on at the new facility.
PES 2013 updates, including enhanced player individuality and full control over the ball. An example was shown of how a individual soccer player’s running style was captured and emulated for the game. This also includes a new dribbling and passing system. They’ve updated the social networking app, and a new demo is on it’s way!
Zone of the Enders (ZOE) – will be released on xBox 360 for the first time. New, higher resolution on the graphics. The opening animation can be viewed here.
Updates to Metal Gear, in honor of the 25th anniversary – A 3DS version is planned for this year, and a PS Vita format will be released on June 12th. The trailer (which we blogged about earlier) is pretty damn awesome. For a girl who vividly remembers the 2D graphics and 80′s text dialogue, watching the “same” characters in movie-like graphics (admittedly, much more bloody ones) is very cool. I got a kick out of “ninja” mode. The new game will be at E3 in a playable version.
Castlevania: Lord of the Shadows – The images in the trailer remind me of a high-tech Lord of the Rings, and the battle at Minas Tirth combined with a bit of Hogwarts. The game is to be released on the PS, xBox, and Nintendo 3DS platforms. A playable version will be at the E3 Expo.
Further updates will be available at the Konami website during E3 week. We’ll be sure to blog about them here!
