Irresistable Nintendo Jewelry! Super Mario Earrings! Legend of Zelda Fairy Necklace!
Yep, I’ll admit it, I’m an etsy window shopper. I can’t say I’m a big buyer (don’t have that much in my Paypal account – yet) but I’m always tempted. I also like supporting local stores, so when I saw this site for a store nearby that sells amazingly cute nerdy stuff, I wanted to share the love and post about it. And hey – Nintendo jewelry that’s cute and relatively affordable! Who can pass up sharing about that?
Arrrrgggh, it’s time to Talk Like a Pirate!
Today is September 19th, and that means it’s Talk Like a Pirate Day! Yes, this is a holiday where you can dress up, wear your best eye patch to work, and practice your pirate lingo. Freebies, lingo, and activities for the day after the jump!
Nerdy Girl Fun: A Board full of Batman craft ideas
In celebration of the release of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, I decided to create a Batman Pinterest board. While there are many fun crafts and design ideas to choose from, some of my favorites include a Batman goatee, Bat nails, and a felt Batman belt for kids. Enjoy!
What happens when your nerdy friends / Scott Pilgrim fans get married.
Recently, a friend of mine from college, Pearl, got married. Her husband, Simon, and his friends got together and decided to recreate a version of the Scott Pilgrim video game, animating both Simon and Pearl into the game. The pair both work at Konami and are big Scott Pilgrim fans. The results can be viewed here.
While our friends at Ugly Baby Studios were busy galavanting around the Los Angeles Convention Center playing video games for three days last week, they had the good courtesy to at least photograph the best eye candy. No, we’re not talking about the video games on PS3 and Xbox 360, the graphics on those are of a much less savory variety than what we’re about to show you.
No, my fellow Nerds, the nerdiest of nerdy stuff is here for you to behold: The Booth Babes of E3 2009, as photographed by Ugly Baby Studios developer Juliet Flores. Normally they’d post these on their own site, but their gallery is having technical difficulties. Your loss is our gain, bitches! I mean, uh, friends…
A sampling is smattered here, but let’s face it: the good stuff is on the gallery page!
