Destiny Gets A Digital Foundry Detailed Comparison Video
Bungie is a highly skilled development studio. We’ve known that for over a decade. But what you probably didn’t know is that their skill is really shining through on upcoming game Destiny. A futuristic shooter that’s more than a little reminiscent of Halo, Destiny is set to release on both current gen and last gen consoles. As with all games leading a double life, that means the inevitable question on everyone’s minds is: how will it fare on the older generation? The answer is “surprisingly well”. Digital Foundry this morning released a preview video, available in full 1080p, that shows the current Destiny Beta on PS3 and PS4, side by side. Overall the game looks superb on both systems, but there’s a bit more lighting detail, better draw distances and clearer rendering on the PS4–as you’d expect, given it has 16 times the RAM of PS3 and a way newer CPU/GPU. Hopefully we’ll get a side by side of PS3 vs 360 and Xbox One vs PS4 in the weeks to come. Check the video out below!
