E3 2014: Pac Man joins Super Smash Bros on Wii U

Wakka Wakka! Pac Man Joins Super Smash Bros Cast on Wii U

See what I did there? Yeah, it was cheezy, but you laughed, just go ahead and admit it. Ok, ok, to the point: the classic video game…uh, protagonist, I guess, from way back in the days of Atari is joining the ranks of Super Smash Bros on Wii U. Pac Man joins Super Smash Bros with an armload of special moves, not the least of which are attacks that feature his 8 bit graphics ghosts and fruit, imported all the way from back in the 1970’s.

But what’s even more interesting is that right here in the trailer we also see some classic levels from other games, notably Mario Bros (I think? My memory is rather hazy). Long story short: this thing is getting crazier by the minute! As if the addition of Mii characters and the forthcoming Amiibo toys wasn’t enough already, now we get Pac Man. PAC MAN. I don’t even think my brain can comprehend the awesomeness of this fact: Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman and Pac Man can all stand on the same stage in the same game and beat the living shit out of each other.

Wow, how times have changed.
