Ubisoft At The Movies

Ubisoft can’t be contained: it goes from your living room to the silver-screen and back with Ubi Motion Pictures

We’ve known for awhile that Ubisoft has a new film studio, Ubi Motion Pictures.  We’ve also known that Ubi Motion Pictures is working on adaptations of Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon. Now Variety is reporting that they’re actively preparing a few more: Watch Dogs, Far Cry (reboot?) and Rabbids.

Luckily for the fans and moviegoers, Ubisoft is going the Marvel approach.  Or, well, Marvel before they were bought out by Disney. Ubisoft will have total creative control and freedom. They’ll select actors, directors, screenwriters, everything and anything to make these movie adaptations come to light.

So far only the Assassin’s Creed movie has a set release date of June 2015.  No details have been released, but expect there to be game tie-ins.

I’ll be crossing my fingers for a Blood Dragon flick, maybe get Vas to do a cameo.
