Xbox Live Gold Goes Console-Wide

Changes to Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Live Gold will now be console-wide for Xbox One.  This allows anyone with an account on your Xbox One to play games and use online features that have traditionally been reserved for individual Xbox Live Gold accounts.  Unfortunately, this feature was not extended to the Xbox 360.  Each individual will still need their own Xbox Live Gold membership there.

I guess this explains why they discontinued the Xbox Live Gold Family Pack!
