Microsoft’s new Xbox One Is Coming
Today at 9AM, Microsoft unveiled the next generation Xbox One. The console has an x86/x64 architecture based on an 8 core AMD Jaguar Processor, just like PlayStation 4. It has 8 GB ram, a 500GB HDD, USB 3, 802.11 N with WiFi Direct, a blu-ray drive and HDMI in/out. These specs are almost identical to the new Sony PS4, which will also be available in stores later this year. Xbox One with Kinect 2.0 will feature Snap-Mode for split screen multitasking. No more closing of apps to open another! The console will come equipped with a native editing and sharing tool. This way, you can share your gameplay with others across Xbox live and the cloud. Skype will also be featured in this Next Gen. console which is no surprise considering Microsoft owns Skype. And check out the pics!
There has been many rumors floating around that the new Xbox console will no longer allow players to play previously owned games. This has been officially debunked by Microsoft with its press release after the reveal. Microsoft FAQ: “We are designing Xbox One to enable users to trade in and resell their games” source
