Zelda: Wind Waker and a NEW Zelda game in the works for wii U
Nintendo revealed during their press conference today that they will be remaking Zelda: Wind Waker into a new HD version. We watched the news and love what we see. Get more on the Nintendo press conference below, including a trailer of the game!
The trailer looks great! According to Nintendo, Zelda: Wind Waker HD is a total remake of the GameCube adventure. New visuals and other changes exist that “tune up the overall game experience.” Series director Eiji Aonuma seemed excited to share his thoughts on the title.
Nintendo also announced that a new Zelda title is in the works. The rumors are correct! The new title will “rethink the conventions of Zelda.” This includes the current standard that dungeons should be played in a certain order and that it’s a single player game. We hope this means a more open world experience. We’re looking forward to a multi-player experience. We’re also looking forward to seeing how the new games incorporate the wii U gamepad. Perhaps tracking your items? Allowing another player to fit in a whole new, non-Link role? Either way, the game is supposed to be a new, back to the basics title. We’re looking forward to it!
