Celebrity Nerds are an Endangered Species, Right?

Once in awhile you see a celebrity doing something interesting that doesn’t involve a leaked sex tape or some asinine statement about their political affiliations, and sometimes it’s even something Nerdy. I like that. The folks who write this site like that. Hopefully if you’re here, you like that.

So it’s with surprise, interest and appreciation that I gleefully report steal the Hollywood Reporter‘s news that musician Will.i.am, of Black Eyed Peas fame, has announced he’s developing an “American Idol” type show that focuses on achievements in science and technology. Here’s hoping he can find a way to make it glamorous enough to keep the Snooki-loving American zombie public interested long enough to actually learn something!
