Alright gamers, here is my review of Madden 2013 for the Xbox 360. I know this is slightly late, but I really wanted to spend some time with the game before writing this review. So, without further adieu, here are my thoughts/impressions for Madden 2013.
The gameplay on Madden 2013 plays very much like the 2011 and 2012 versions of the game. Strategies that were successful for those games will also work for Madden 2013. What I found to be particularly bothersome is that regardless of the teams attributes and ratings they can basically perform at the level of all the other teams. Those of us that are football fans know this is not the case in the NFL. I know any given Sunday anything can happen, but as I progressed through the season with my team, and eventually reached the post season, I found myself in a first round match-up with the Rams. Not to lambast the Rams organization, but they are clearly not a playoff contender. Perhaps I am missing the mark on this? Maybe part of the enjoyment from playing Madden 2013 is being able to control RG 3 and lead the Redskins to a Superbowl victory.
Read on after the break to read more about the Kinect integration into Madden 2013. Before you read on, here is a pretty funny clip about abuse of the Kinect commands with your friends:
