Skidoosh: Xbox 360 gets Amazon Instant Video

More Ways To Maximize your Couch-Cushion Investment

With just about every video service known to man now present and accounted for on Xbox 360, this probably counts as a bit of a blip on the radar. Still, “Skidoosh” sounds cooler than “blip,” so I’m going with it. Amazon Instant Video is now available on Xbox 360. Along with the simple “cool” factor of expanded consumer choice, you’ll get access to their library of 17,000+ movies, including everything you buy from Amazon using your Kindle Fire, PS3, website or whatever.

The suck part is that you still need an Xbox Live Gold membership to use the service, but if you’re not already a member Amazon will hook you up with a month of Xbox Live for free. I was gonna be nice and link you to one of Amazon’s famously good deals on Live, but…they don’t have any right now. Suck. Oh well–go get your free app.
