Xbox 360 Racing Bundle Includes Wheel-Like Thingy
Microsoft has announced, via Major Nelson’s Blog, that starting in mid-June they’ll be offering a new Xbox 360 Racing Bundle at $299 MSRP. The new bundle includes a 250GB Xbox 360 system, a copy of Forza 4, and one of their strange wireless racing wheel thingies. Well, it looks more like a wireless horseshoe to me, but what do I know? I’m not really a big driving game fan.
For those who actually are racing fans, though, Forza 4 is one of the best games out there, with a stunning array of cars. It also features realistic graphics (the most important term in gaming, I’m told), accurate physics and online play. The system will include a 250GB hard drive as well, offering plenty of room for even more game downloads for a couple of years.
With regards to the “horseshoe” wheels, Microsoft claims it’ll offer users a fun, intuitive way to get into driving games without breaking the bank. As any racing fan knows, many of the standard racing wheel setups out there can be prohibitively expensive. Indeed, Microsoft’s own offering initially launched at a staggering $150. Logitech, meanwhile, also offers a high precision wheel, but at a much less palatable cost of around $300. Suffice to say, if either of those price points don’t give you pause, the space those wheels take up just might. Both are large-ish, despite being a very nice piece of, as they say, “kit”. This horseshoe wheel should save you a little space as well as some scratch. If those are things that appeal to the racing fan in your household, get yourself down to the nearest Xbox retailer and snag one of these bundles before they’re gone!
I’d normally say “Find out more after the break!” but let’s face it: what more is there to say?
