LEGO Lord of the Rings: One Yellow Plastic Ring to Rule Them All?

The Lord of the Rings Comes to Lego Video Games 11 Years Later

A recent trip to LEGO Land sparked my five year old’s interest anew in LEGO games. While her preferences run along the lines of princesses and ponies, the adults here at All That Nerdy Stuff were happy to learn about the June 2012 release of a Lord of the Rings LEGO video game.

Warner Bros. has not officially confirmed the release, however toy packages show logos for Traveller’s Tales, which is the company primarilly responsible for developing previous Lego video games. There is also a logo on the packages for Warner Bros.; the franchise’s publisher. Whether Peter Jackson‘s vision can be rendered in cylinder-headed figures remains to be seen, though the translation of characters into LEGO form are very promising.
